Dr Eimear Mc Carthy

Eimear is a native of Skibbereen in West Cork. She completed her undergraduate medical training in UCD and The Mater Hospital. Her postgraduate General Practice training was with the South East Training Programme and Eimear then settled in Cork prior to establishing Owenabue Medical Centre. Eimear has a special interest in Travel Medicine and Minor Surgery.

 

Dr. Vivian Foley

Vivian is a native of Cork City and a graduate of UCC. Following graduation Vivian worked for several years at the Mercy Hospital Cork, Waterford Regional Hospital and St Vincent’s Hospital Dublin. This was followed by specialist training in general practice in Scotland. Vivian has a special interest in Family Planning and Occupational Medicine.


Dr Carolyn Wallace

Carolyn is a native of Cork City. She is a graduate of UCC and following internship completed her specialist training in general practice in the MidWest in Limerick. Carolyn was a partner in General Practice in Limerick for ten years prior to relocating to Cork in 2005 and joining Vivian and Eimear at Owenabue Medical Centre. Carolyn has a particular interest in Occupational medicine, Travel Health and Teaching in General practice. She is a Trainer with the Cork Training Programme in General Practice.

 

Elaine Goggin
RGN.RN

Elaine is our practice nurse and joined our growing practice in 2007. Elaine completed her general nursing in 1990 followed by specialist training in Midwifery. She has experience in all area of nursing including Community nursing, surgery, ENT and midwifery. Elaine provides sessions for childhood vaccinations, management of chronic illness , antenatal care and occupational medicine


Practice administration/reception

Geraldine, Anne, Denise, Catherine, Deirdre, Roberta, Orla and Ruth are available to assist you in making routine and urgent appointments, organise repeat prescriptions and deal with and queries you may have in addition to administration of the practice.
